On top of the generous prize money worth a total RM17,000, Gamuda Land is also enhancing the contest by providing bonus prizes worth RM8,000.

There will be an event this coming Saturday, the Charity World Issues Conference from 12-6pm and Mr Colin Boyd, our teacher advisor has asked for any volunteers to cover the event.

Date : 7th November 2009
Time : 12-6pm
Venue : LT2 Main Campus and D floor classrooms

I will have the schedule soon and will post it up here for those who require more details.

I know, I know, many of you are having your finals these few weeks but for those who are not sitting for their finals or are free and don't mind volunteering, do come, have fun and gain new experiences. :)

Photography Contest!

Interested in photography?

Then come and take part in this photography contest!

The photo you submit must depict a global issue i.e poverty, environmental issues, natural disasters etc, and may also be conceptual.

We will print and display your photo from the 2nd-6th November 2009 for judging.

Winners will be announced at the end of the conference on November 7th.

Winners will receive cash prizes up to Rm150, trophies,certificates and credit in Taylor's publications.

o First prize – RM 150

o Second prize – RM 100

o Third prize – RM 50

Closing date : 30th October 2009.

Update on the Workshop

Hey guys, some update on the Nikon workshop.

The workshop will be held on the 8th & 9th, which is this coming Thursday and Friday at 4pm.

They will be here on Wednesday as well, but just to set up a booth to promote their workshop. The workshop is open to all, not only to the members of the club.

As for the venue, it depends on the amount of participants interested in joining the workshop so it is still unconfirmed.

Just to recap :
Date : 7th (Booth), 8th & 9th October 2009 (Workshop)
Day : Wednesday (Booth), Thursday & Friday (Workshop)
Time : 4pm

Nikon Workshop!

Hey people! Sorry for the lack of updates. Been kinda busy lately.

Anyway, this just came in.

I am pleased to announce that Nikon is planning to have a photography workshop in our campus along the week of 5th October. Currently we are still planning on what time would be best for them to have their workshops 4pm for 3 days. If you think that the timing is not appropriate then any suggestions on timing would be appreciated.

Here's a chance for all of you out there to learn more about photography!

More details will be posted A.S.A.P. Since the venue and time is still not confirmed yet, remember to check the blog and your email frequently for updates :)

Event Photographers Required

Hey guys.
Hello!

Taylor's Buisness Club will be having a play on the 14th and 15th of August (ie next Friday and Saturday), and we've been invited to do some photography work for them. Also, those new to the club can come and meet our motely crew, and those who just got their new toys can finally come around and show them off. =)

C'mon guys, it'll be fun. Trust me. XD
We haven't had a shoot in ages eh?




Event Details:
Date (bring one lar): 14th and/or 15th of August.
Time: 7 to 10pm.
Place: Taylors University College Main Campus, Multipurpose Hall (MPH), no relationship to the bookstore whatsoever.
Pass: C'mon, we're photographers. Of course we get in free. ;D
Things to bring: Whatever gear you have to, including bodies (don't get any funny ideas), lenses, flashes (to go with the bodies, geddit?), tripods and whatever. Those concerned with the flu going around, bring your masks too. XD
Any other details that I get, you guys will be the first to know.




Those coming, do drop an e-mail or note down at the Cbox/Photographic Society mailbox to confirm your attendence. Thanks. Please do come, ya. We need like, 4 or 5 covering each nite. After shooting can also TT if want! =D
